We are very pleased you have chosen Skolka for your website, you will not be disappointed! Before you get started, please be sure to always check out these documentation files. We outline all kinds of good information, and provide you with all the details you need to use Skolka. Skolka can only be used with WordPress and we assume that you already have WordPress installed and ready to go. If you do not, please see our section on WordPress to help you get started.

Requirements

To use Skolka, you must be running WordPress 5.x or higher, PHP7 or higher, and mysql 5 or higher. We have tested it with Mac, Windows and Linux. Below are a list of items you should ensure your host can comply with.

  1. Check to ensure that your web host has the minimum requirements to run WordPress.
  2. Always make sure they are running the latest version of WordPress
  3. You can download the latest release of WordPress from official WordPress website
  4. Always create secure passwords FTP and Database
  5. You are good to go for installing theme now!

Make sure your hosting has php settings similar like below;

																	upload_max_filesize = 128M
post_max_size = 128M
memory_limit = 128M

What's included

When you purchase our theme from Themeforest, you need to download the Skolka files from your Themeforest account. Navigate to your downloads tab on Themeforest and find Skolka. Click the download button to see the two options. The Main Files contain everything, the Installable WordPress Theme is just the installable WordPress theme file. Below is a full list of everything that is included when you download the main files, along with a brief description of each item. 

																		skolka-package.zip - this zip file included all plugins and content xml files

skolka.zip - this zip file is theme install file.

documentation.zip - this is for basic theme documentation.

Installation

You can install the theme in two ways: through WordPress, or via FTP. The Skolka.zip file is the Installable WordPress Theme and what you need to use to get the theme installed. Please see the following sections for each method and watch our video tutorial on how to install Skolka. But first, you need to download the Skolka files from your Themeforest account. Navigate to your downloads tab on Themeforest and find Skolka. Click the download button to see the two options. The Main Files and the Installable WordPress Theme. See below

Follow the steps below to install via WordPress.

  1. Navigate to Appearance > Themes
  2. Click Install Themes and hit the upload button
  3. Navigate to find the “skolka.zip” file on your computer and click “Install Now”
  4. Wait while the theme is uploaded and installed
  5. Activate the newly installed theme. Go to Appearance > Themes and activate it.
  6. Then you will get a notification to activate the required plugins: Such as Elementor, WooCommerce etc

Demo Content

One Click Demo Import

When you first install any wordpress theme, it will not contain all the extra content that you might of seen in the live demo. There are two ways you can import the theme Demo Content. Usually you have to import an XML file which can be importing content manually. We’ve made it easier by creating a One Click Demo Import.

After installing theme and required plugins. You can navigate to Apparance and under Apparance there is a plugin called ' One Click Demo Import' click on it and you will have new screen. On this screen you just need to click blue Import Demo Data button. This process will take a while. You must wait until demo importing complete. When you receive a message that demo import completed than you are ready to go and edit your site.

Manual Import

If you have a trouble importing demo content using One Click Demo Import plugin. Than you might consider using WordPress Import under Tools menu. For this method. You must navigate Tools >> Import than you will see below WordPress for importer. If not installed click Install Now link and wait. After WordPress importer installed you can browse XML file and click blue Import button. It will also take a while you must wait until process complete. After succesfull demo import you will be able to edit your site.

Theme Options

ACF based Theme Options will allow you control many features and options

General Tab

In the General tab, you can change the font family of your theme using various theme features like the 'Go to Top' button or breadcrumb navigation. This allows you to customize the look and feel of your website to match your personal style and branding.

Color Tab

The Colors tab allows you to easily update the main theme colors to suit your preference. You can change the body font color, body background color, and various other theme colors to create a cohesive and visually appealing website. With just a few clicks, you can give your website a fresh new look.

Topbar

In this tab, you have the option to enable or disable the topbar. The topbar is a convenient space where you can display a menu, WPML language selector, and a contact dropdown. By customizing the topbar to your liking, you can create a more user-friendly and functional website for your visitors.

Navbar

The Navbar is packed with customizable options that allow you to create a unique and functional navigation experience for your website. You can change logos, customize colors, and enable features like the cart, account and search. With these options, you can create a professional and seamless navigation experience for your customers.

Notification

Below the Navbar, you have the option to enable a text notification bar. This allows you to display important information or messages to your visitors, such as updates or promotions. Simply enable this feature to add an extra layer of engagement and communication with your website visitors.

Archive

The blog options in this tab allow you to customize the basic elements of your blog, including the sidebar, blog page title, and read more label.

Page 404

The error page tab allows you to customize the appearance and functionality of your 404 error page. You can upload a main error image or icon, change the text, and even enable a search form. With these options, you can create a helpful and user-friendly 404 error page that guides your visitors back to the appropriate content on your website.

Search

The search result page title has a page header that you can customize by adding a background color.

Footer

In Footer tab, you have the option to enable a footer icon boxes bar and customize the footer background with an image or color. You can also control the copyright content to display on the footer. These options allow you to create a professional and cohesive website that leaves a lasting impression on your visitors

FAQ

A FAQ is a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) and answers on a particular topic.

Skolka is it easy to use ?
Once you have installed and activated the required plugins for the theme, you can begin adding your products to sell on your online store. The Elementor page builder and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) based theme give you the ability to easily change the content and customize various features of your website. With these powerful tools at your disposal, you have complete control over the design and functionality of your online store.
How to install theme ?
To install the theme, first upload the theme zip file by going to Appearance >>> Themes in your WordPress dashboard. After the theme is uploaded, you will see notifications to install required plugins. Simply select all of the plugins and click 'Install'. Once the installation process is complete, be sure to activate the plugins. To import the demo content, go to Appearance >>> One Click Demo Import and click the 'Import' button. With these simple steps, you can easily install and set up your new theme and get your website up and running in no time.
Demo content comes with theme ?
Yes, the theme does come with demo content. To install the demo content, you will need to use the One Click Import plugin. Simply go to the plugin's page in your WordPress dashboard and click 'Import'. This will install all of the demo content that we have created for our demo website. Once the demo content is installed, you can use the Elementor page builder to easily edit the pages and products to suit your needs. With the demo content and Elementor at your disposal, you have everything you need to quickly create a professional and fully functional website.
Is it possible to change theme colors and fonts ?
Yes, the theme is built with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and has a awesome Theme Options panel that allows you to control a variety of functions and options. From customizing the appearance and layout of your website to enabling or disabling certain features, the Theme Options panel gives you complete control over the look and feel of your website. With its user-friendly interface and intuitive controls, you can easily make changes and fine-tune your website to meet your specific needs and preferences.
How to make my WordPress site faster
To ensure that your website performs at its best, there are a few steps you can take. Firstly, it is important to choose a good hosting plan that meets the needs of your website. Additionally, optimizing your images using a tool like tinyPNG can help to reduce their file size and improve your website's loading speed. Finally, installing a cache plugin can also help to speed up your website by creating a static version of your pages and reducing the number of server requests. By following these steps, you can create a fast and efficient website that provides a great user experience for your visitors.
